    On August 15, 2009 a man is sentenced for a large weapons arsenal
found in Bellevue storage locker -- two grenade launchers, 54 grenades, six big blocks of C4 plastic explosive, and 37 machine guns from the Vietnam War era.

    On February 13, 2012, Washington Governor Christine Gregoire signed legislation that established full marriage rights for same-sex couples in the state of Washington.

    The Mercer Slough Blueberry Farm was closed due to Sound Transit's East Link light rail construction.

Bellevue City Council begins authorizing execution of all documents necessary for the acquisition of a 5.25-acre property located at 1351/1357 118th Ave Southeast as an addition to Mercer Slough Nature Park, including a purchase and sale agreement, in an amount not to exceed $314,400, plus related costs.
